Frederick William Pelon, 62, of Menominee, Mich. passed away peacefully late December 30, 2017 surrounded by his three daughters. Fred was born February 3, 1955 in Menominee, Mich. to the late Raymond and Lillian (Hansen) Pelon. During and after High School Fred was employed with Lloyd Flanders in the paint department. His attention to quality and details ultimately lead him to a lead position. Fred was very mechanically minded and loved working on cars in his free time. So, in 1985 he stopped working at Lloyd Flanders and established his own used car business; Classic Motors, which he was very proud of. Fred enjoyed collecting and restoring Aladdin lamps, old radios, and various antiques.

Fred is survived by his three daughters; Kristy Pelon of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., Katie (Mike) Heyboer of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. and Kandi Pelon of Appleton, Wis. One grandson, Blake Heyboer, One brother, Fran Pelon of Menominee, Mich. and one sister, Judy Nelson of Westfield, Ind.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jeanne Huffman, and an infant sister, Theresa Pelon.

Fred will forever be missed and cherished by his three daughters and grandson. They will always remember his loving teasing ways, both at himself and others, and will never forget his smirks, smiles and laughter.

Visitation for Fred will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Anderson-Kell Funeral Home beginning at 9:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am with Chaplin Matt Cornelius officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Mich.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established, any acts of kindness or sympathy may be directed to one of his daughters.

Fred’s daughters would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice and the staff at Heartwood Senior Living in Appleton, Wis. for their compassionate care.
