EDWARD SALTZ, 93 of Stephenson, MI passed away on Friday February 9, 2018 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. Ed was born on November 4, 1924 in Daggett, MI to the late Frank and Angeline (Zuber) Saltz. On June 25, 1949 Ed married the former Lorraine Duffrin at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Ed farmed and worked for E.F. Potter/Stephenson Lumber for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and was known for his pumpkin patch. Ed was a member of St. Frederick’s Catholic Church until it’s closing and Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife: Lorraine of Stephenson, MI; son: Marvin (Mary) Saltz of Kingsford, MI; daughter: Sally (Tim) Eldridge of Michigamme, MI; 2 grandchildren: Mark (Fiancée Grace) Saltz and Katherine (Robert) Saltz; great granddaughter: Zoe Freeman; brother: John (Carol) Saltz; 3 sisters: Helen Raboin, Verna Doering and Alice Fredericksen; many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Wednesday February 14, 2018 after 4:00 pm until time of Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Ronald Timock officiating. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery in the spring.
