MARK E. SWILLE, 57 of Menominee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday September 25, 2017. Mark was born on May 13, 1960 in Blue Island, IL to Willard and Joann (Leaveck) Swille. On August 11, 1979 Mark married Patricia Mae Haulotte at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson, MI. He worked as the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at the Menominee County Courthouse, Dunlap Square Apartments and Menards. Mark loved his gardens, which was very evident in his beautiful yard, family trips, his Mini Cooper, camping and “Wednesday Lunches with the guys”. He was a wonderful cook and loved family gatherings. Above all, Mark’s family was his passion and he did anything he could to get them together. Mark was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife: Patty of Menominee; mother: Joann Swille of Stephenson, MI; 2 daughters: Amanda (Paul) Love of Gwinn, MI and Miranda (Ryan) DeLaurelle of Menominee, MI; 2 grandchildren: Sami Jo Anderson and Mastin Love; with baby DeLaurelle adoption to come in January; 4 brothers: Clint (Pam) of Stephenson, MI, Keith (Cindy) of Nadeau, MI, Kevin (Kim) of Stephenson, MI and Todd of Stephenson, MI; nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father: Willard.
Visitation will take place at Anderson Kell Funeral Home on Thursday September 28, 2017 beginning at 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm. The vigil prayer service will begin at 6:30 with Deacon Steve Gretzinger presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Mark Swille on Friday September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Brad Sjoquist presiding. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:35 am at the church prior to Mass. Burial will follow in Mellen Township Cemetery.
