Ralph and I were shipmates on a couple of ship deliveries for Marinette Marine with Capt. Bob Angwall; we were both helmsmen. We had a nice visit a few years ago at Bob’s funeral. I will always remember him for his kindness, patience and sense of humor. He was also a pretty good cook. I had the honor of hearing some of his stories about his part in the war. The ‘greatest generation ‘ is nearly all gone. He was truly one of them. My condolences to his family and to all who loved him.
